As Posted from my other site:
Platinum Dunes, the company behind such remakes like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th, is doing another remake on another great classic, and one that I love too; A Nightmare on Elm Street, and apparently just now they casted someone new to carry on the striped red-green sweater, the razor-glove, and the fedora hat. This person who is playing the "Man of Our Dreams", is Jackie Earle Haley. That's right, one of our own from the Watchmen movie, who plays our beloved bad-ass vigilante; Rorschach. Now for one thing, I am excited about this. Though Robert Englund still remains as Freddy Krueger to me, then Jackie for right now. Not saying he can't handle it and pull out a great performance like he did as Rorschach in Zack Snyder's movie, but I just want to embrace the fact that Jackie Earle Haley is playing this wonderful and fearful icon that Wes Craven and Robert Englund created years ago. Heh, that reminds me that the first Nightmare movie was released in 1984, a year before the events in the "Watchmen" book takes place. But the only reason why I brought this up, is because I like Haley, and I like Freddy Krueger, and for those who like the Nightmare movies and the Watchmen movie can anticipate about it. And also it's kind of 'Watchmen' related, since Haley was in the movie. Haley is such a great choice, but I am not sure if he will try to copy or be original with this type of role. But for now, this is official. Jackie Earle Haley is Freddy Krueger. Congrats!

The script is an progress right now, and it's looking good so far too. It's more like the first Nightmare movie, although different plot and different characters. It's creepy, scary, and disturbing. Special thanks for my cousion, who is also playing in this film as the main character, for telling me a similar story, which led me into the idea for this film. I hope that everyone enjoys this film as much as I will, because it's going to be a blast! Or in other words, this is going to be killer!
Sincerely,
